• WATER

Our planet is covered by water. That's why wecall it the blue planet. Water covers almost 70 % of the Earth's surface.

All the water on Earth is called the HYDROSPHERE.

Water can be FRESH (rivers, aquifers, ice caps, lakes) or SALT (seas and oceans).

• OCEANS

There are five oceans in the world: Artic, Southern, Pacific, Atlantic and Indian.

• STATES AND CHANGES OF WATER

Water can be found in three STATES :solid, liquid and gas.

• THE CYCLE OF WATER

Remember! We call water cycle to all the different states occur in the constant round of changes in water. There are four STAGES: Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation and Collection.

• GROUNDWATER

Groundwater is the water UNDER the ground which has been absorved from RAINFALL. When it rains, water FILTERS through the soil and goes underground. Water collects in underground basins called AQUIFERS .We can extract water from the ground with WELLS. This water is very important for HUMAN and animal life.

• RÍOS DE ESPAÑA

España se divide en tres VERTIENTES : Cantábrica, Atlántica y Mediterránea según donde desembocan los ríos. Tenéis que conocer los ríos principales de nuestro país, su situación en el mapa y a qué vertiente pertenecen.

¿Puedes nombrar al menos dos o tres ríos de cada una de las vertientes?
