Please, complete it and send it to me (maiteescruz@yahoo.es).
Hi everybody! I want to remind you all the things you need to know about plants.
- PLANT KINGDOM.
Plants are born, grow, reproduce and die.
They need water, soil, sunlight and carbon dioxide.
They can't move around but the can move some parts.
-PARTS OF A PLANT
Plants have different parts with different functions.
ROOTS. They anchor the plant to the soil and absorb water and nutrients from the soil.
STEM/TRUNK It holds the plant up and transports water and minerals from the roots to all parts of the plant.
LEAVES. They make the food for the plant.
FLOWER. They are the reproductive part of some plants. Some flowers grow into FRUITS.
Hi kids!
Today I want to review with you the three layers of the Earth.
The Earth can be divided into three layers (or three spheres):
CRUST (the outer layer made of solid rock).
MANTLE (it is under the crust and it is made of magma, semi liquid rock and it is very hot).
CORE (the inner layer, it is the hottest and it is made up mostly of iron).
See you in class!

Hi kids!
Today, we are going to review everything we have learned so far about animals:
Animlas are living things. They are born, they grow, reproduce and die.
All animals perform the THREE LIFE PROCESSES of Nutrition, Interaction and Reproduction.
Depending on their internal structure, animals can be classified into: VERTEBRATES AND INVERTEBRATES.
INVERTEBRATES
Invertebrate animals don't have any backbone or spine or skeleton.
97% of animals are invertebrates.
Let's learn some more about these animals:
VERTEBRATES
Vertebrates have an internal skeleton made up with bones.
They can be classified into 5 GROUPS: MAMMALS, BIRDS, FISH, REPTILES AND ANPHIBIANS.
Let's learn some more about vertebrates!
And now, enjoy with these GAMES:
That's all for now.
See you in class!

Hi everyone!
As you all know the Earth moves in two different ways. The MOVEMENTS OF THE EARTH are:
ROTATION
-The Earth moves on its own axis.
-The Earth takes 24 HOURS/1 DAY to complete one rotation.
-This movement causes DAY AND NIGHT.
REVOLUTION
-The Earth moves around the Sun.
-The Earth takes 365 DAYS/1 YEAR to complete one rotation.
-This movement causes THE SEASONS.
See you in class!!
Love,
Maite
Hi everyone!
Do you remember what we talked about the verb to be?
We use the verb to be to describe something or someone. We use it to talk about names, ages, feelings, professions, nationalities...
Let's learn some more! Watch!
Now, let's play some GAMES. Click on the link below and go all the way down until you find the two games.

And finally, I want you to practice with this worksheet. When you finish, don't forget so send it to me by email (maiteescruz@yahoo.es).
We can see imaginary lines on globes and maps.
We use these imaginary lines to describe a location on the Earth's surface.
MERIDIANS are semicircular vertical lines from the North Pole to the South Pole. They are measured in degrees East and West. Meridian 0º is the Greenwich Meridian.
PARALELLS are circular horizontal lines. They are measured in degrees North and South. Paralell 0º is the Equator that divides the Earth into the Northern and the Southern Hemisphere.
Meridians measure LONGITUDE (the distance from the Greenwich Meridian).
Paralells measure LATITUDE (the distance from the Equator).
A GEOGRAPHIC COORDINATE is the combination of longitude and latitude to describe a location on the Earth's surface.
Now, let's watch tihis video. Enjoy!!
